Global Studies,
in partnership with Cinematheque, the Wisconsin Film Festival,
and other campus departments and programs, sponsors a periodic
film series entitled Global Visions. This series showcases the
diverse ways in which filmmakers -- through drama, documentary,
and even comedy -- explore what it means to be part of a world
that is growing ever more interconnected and interdependent. The
first Global Visions
series ran in fall 2005 and included films from Africa, Asia,
Europe, and South America. The second series, part of the
2006
Wisconsin Film Festival, included films on global politics,
global environment, and global marketing.
